Group of companies based in Piraeus is seeking for Full Stack Web Developer

We are looking for a motivated, talented and highly productive mid/senior full stack web developer to join our highly skilled team of successful professionals at the company's headquarters in Athens. The team you will be part of is responsible for the development, support and growth of one of Greece’s leading ferry tickets’ websites and you will have the opportunity to work on a highly optimized architecture, spanning across multiple technologies and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Write optimized, efficient and production ready code in either the back-end or the frontend part of our systems
• Provide technical support for all issues related to the website’s architecture and functionality
• Optimize existing code base where needed in terms of efficiency, performance, and code clarity.
• Integrate new connections to 3rd party vendors through APIs
• Keep the website up and running with minimal downtime within our target SLA
• Solve unique problems that arise from the need to always push the envelope in web development
• Be technically responsible of the projects you take on and choose the best method or technology to make them successful
• Be curious & self-motivated to always catch up on state-of-the-art web technologies

Skills & experience

• 2-3 years of full stack web development experience, writing production ready code in a Javascript technology stack
• Strong knowledge of Javascript and Node.js / Express.js as a back-end framework
• Strong knowledge of designing and implementing applications based on a SQL relational database, preferably PostgreSQL
• Strong knowledge of React and Next.js as frontend frameworks and ability to write clean, accessible and responsive HTML5, CSS3 code
• Proven experience in interconnecting 3rd party independent systems through APIs
• Experience with unit testing and code deployment methodologies
• Experience with the git version control system
• Familiarity with prototyping / mockup software like Figma, Photoshop or Adobe XD
• Past experience in working on a Microservices Architecture is a plus
